  • Updation!

Wow, can you believe its been this long????  Me either, FaceBook has a way of taking over.

I can't believe my Savannah is now a Kindergartner! Wow time flies.  A lot has happened since my last post, but I wanted to document this & then I'll go back & recap everything in another post.

Savannah, my granddaughter, has come to live with me and her dad back in January of this year, right after I purchased my house.  Since then, Jonathan, her dad, has become a professional liciensed truck driver, went to school for it, and the whole nine yards.  He came home for the first time in 7 weeks this past weekend.  But he was under a load, so he couldn't be here for the first day of school, so I took pictures of her & sent them to his email.

She was so excited, she was up at 6am and was ready to go!  LOL  I had to hold her back a bit, and tell her she had to get ready first!  LOL

  • Hello

I know, its been a long time.  Just a quick question - is everybody getting thier subscription updates by email?  Mine have totally stopped.  I have lots of news, just dont have time to get it all on paper right now - computer is acting awful slow & I am in dire need of a new one.  So hang on, I have a move to complete, a house to set up & school to do too.  Oh yeah, and work inbetween!  LOL  Hugs to all my readers.

  • What has been going on?

Wowzers, didn't realize I haven't blogged since April!  Not that my life is so exciting, but I like to document it from time to time, so when I go to scrapbook it I can go back on my blog and figure out dates, yes, I am THAT behind :)

I became a Close To My Heart consultant in March - so have been very busy training and training and training.  I have not a problem scrapbooking and making a few cards, but when it comes to doing it using an exclusive product, it becomes rather daunting for me.  :(  But I am excited, building my customer base, hope to set up my website  this week yet, then want to branch out & do workshops and hostess clubs!  So I'm staying quite busy.

The twins are really growing, they are pulling up now & walking holding onto things. The other morning before I left for work, I peeked into their bedroom and found them 'talking' across the rails!  It was too cute, of course by the time I went to get my camera, the moment was gone.  But took it of them anyways.

My only son, Jonathan, celebrated his 26th birthday on July 9th.  So I had my children come to the house for a spaghetti dinner to celebrate it.  As a surprise I made "Amish salad" one of his favorite foods and then Faith made him some "chocolate" pudding for dessert.  He was pleased.  DSCN4184  DSCN4179

For his gift I presented him with his daddy's casket flag.  When his dad died 7 and a half years ago, Jonathan was not emtionally in a position where he could take care of it.  It was presented to me at the graveside, but I knew it would be given to him eventually.  Needless to say, there wasn't a dry eye in the house.

About Me

  • I was raised Amish Mennonite in a little town called Mottville Michigan. We moved to MS in 1972 and lived there for 15 months and then we left the Mennonite scene all together & moved to Bama where I currently reside. I love to stay connected with my friends I made through the years via XANGA & have been able to restore several of those friendships just like we had never been separated by life happenings. I am the mother of 4 beautiful children & "OMA" to my 7 grandchildren who are all the joy of my life. I enjoy life & love to laugh. I am a "list" maker & have little lists for everything - love love love those little post-it-notes! I am an organization advocate & love to do things in order & having a routine is very important to me as well. For hobbies I love to scrapbook, xstitch, read, computer games, and puzzles.
